Words of wisdom……………

I was a mildly rebellious teen. Like most I thought I was right on most issues and was not bashful about telling you so. So now, to my amazement, I’m 60 something. I’m finding that more and more often

I’m in complete agreement with things my Father told me. One thing he said often was “stay away from discussing politics and religion as you will always wind up in an argument.”

During our recent Presidential election campaign I found myself repeatedly drawn into the fray. Anything I might have commented on

accomplished nothing. I found myself in disagreements with friends, neighbors and colleagues. For too long I forgot what I had been taught.

Note to self: the old man was usually right.

Soon we will have a new President. I think we can all agree that there is a tremendous amount of work to be done in many different areas. My small contribution will be to remember old lessons, support our leaders and stay optimistic. It might sound corny but I like the concept of helping our country to be great again.

God Bless America!
